COHORT LEADERS:

Stephen Blandino is a church planter and lead pastor of 7 City Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He’s the author of five books including Stop Chasing Easy and Do Good Works. Stephen is also a leadership coach and a regular contributor to Influence Magazine. He lives in the Fort Worth area with his wife Karen.  They have one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley & Dylan, and two grandsons, Elijah and Wyatt.

Jason Patterson is the Lead Pastor of Parkside Church in Fishers, IN. After fourteen years of traveling ministry, he and his wife, Andrea, planted the church in 2017. He is the author of From Your Biggest Fan and several devotional books, which sold nearly 100,000 copies. He was featured on Bob Goff’s podcast, The Writing Room, in 2023. He currently lives in Indiana with his wife and three young children.

Chase Replogle is the pastor of Bent Oak Church in Springfield, Missouri, and is the author of The 5 Masculine Instincts. His work has been featured on Good Morning American, Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, Ekstasis, Bible Engagement Project, and Influence Magazine. In addition, he hosts the Pastor Writer Podcast, where he interviews Christian authors on writing and publishing.

COHORT DESCRIPTION:

The Author’s Cohort is an intensive 6-month cohort for 12 emerging and existing Christian authors. The cohort includes:

Monthly Coaching Calls – Six 90-minute monthly coaching calls to address topics,
strategies, and issues every author faces.

 

Chapter Review – Each participant will submit a chapter, article, or writing sample for
the cohort facilitators to review and provide meaningful feedback.

 

Personal Coaching Session – Each participant will receive a one-on-one 60-minute
coaching call with one of the cohort facilitators to provide feedback on their writing sample and to discuss questions the author has about the writing or publishing process.

 

Relationship Building – Cohort members will take the journey with a small group of
emerging and existing authors where they’ll find the encouragement and confidence to write and publish a book.

 

Resources – Each cohort member will have access to downloadable resources to help
them reach their writing goals.

SIX MONTHLY COACHING CALLS:

1. Framing Your Idea – Learn how to identify a book idea, develop a controlling metaphor,
organize your content, and clarify your audience.

 

2. How to Write Great Content – Learn how to create a great title, outline a chapter, and write page-turning content.

 

3. How to Market Your Book – Learn how to create a marketing plan, a launch team, and how
to grow your author platform.

 

4. Developing Your Writing Rhythm – Learn when to write, where to write, how to navigate
writer’s block, and what to do when you get stuck.

 

5. Building a Writing Team – Discover the value of a writing team, how to work with an editor,
how to find an agent, and how to create a book proposal.

 

6. Choosing a Publishing Pathway – Learn the benefits of self-publishing vs. traditional
publishing, and the pathway that’s right for you.
